If you're a guitarist on the move and feel like you have to practice a lot, there are several battery-powered portable amplifiers to choose from. Unfortunately, even though it's small, it's still too big. This weakness is now trying to be overcome by Fender.
The company recently launched a pocket-sized portable amplifier, the Mustang Micro. Unlike most guitar amplifiers, which typically require a cable to connect the guitar to the amp, the Micro Mustang plugs straight into your guitar's cable port. This means you will need to carry less equipment with you.
What makes this amplifier small is the audio output that is connected via a headphone jack or USB connection, so you can practice without disturbing those around you. Its small build means you probably won't get the same effect compared to a bigger, more powerful amp, but that's not the goal of the Mustang Micro.
The main features of the Micro Mustang are: an all-in-one personal headphone amplifier with onboard DSP, 12 amp and 13 effects models from the Mustang GTX series for a wide range of clean and dirty tones
Fender claims that the battery life on the amp can be up to four hours on a single charge. This device can be recharged via the USB-C port. So, if you have a power bank ( powerbank ) or phone charger it works fine too. Fender will release the Mustang Micro in April for $ 100.
