Singaporean Nurse Imprisoned for Buying Bubble Tea

Almost everyone loves bubble tea, a drink that is on the rise. Unfortunately, this caused Nurul, a nurse at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) to go to prison. This was indeed caused by the nurse's own carelessness.

Yep, even though the implementation of the Covid-19 protocol in Singapore is quite strict, Nurul has repeatedly violated the protocol. Starting on March 21, 2020, Nurul returned from a trip to Australia and had to self-quarantine at home for 14 days.

Unfortunately, only two days later, on March 23, 2020, Nurul left her house to buy bubble tea. He took the bus from his place to the nearest shopping center. In fact, he must stay at home until April 4, 2020.

Not only that, according to Ms. Nurul, it was recorded that she left her house seven times to register at several local universities and also help prepare for her friend's wedding and was caught not wearing a mask.

No wonder the nurse herself ended up contracting the COVID-19 virus.

Nurul's history of repeated violations of quarantine has landed him in prison. On 22 January 2021, he pleaded guilty to three counts under the Singapore Infectious Diseases Act with another four counts under consideration. The court sentenced him to 7 weeks in prison starting January 22, 2021.

However, there is no solid evidence that he spread the virus to other people. For each of these counts he could be sentenced to up to 6 months and a fine of US $ 7,500 (SGD10,000). Since that incident, he has left his job at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

Even so, ASUS has not officially announced this product. For those of you who are interested, it looks like you have to wait and see further.
