Android's Robot Beat Opera As the Most Widely Used Browser in Mobile Devices

According data from StatCounter, Opera has been beat by Android as the most used browser in mobile platform. In February 2012, Android Robot had 22.67% market share, which bring Android Robot as the most used browser, followed by Opera with market shared about 21.7%, and Safari from iPhone about 21.06% share. Meanwhile, Nokia and BlackBerry still in fourth and fifth position, with market share about 11.24% and 6.53%.

This mean, Opera has started losing market share quickly in January 2012, while Safari and Android Robot did very well in same period. For the detail, you can see the graph from StatCounter below. We can also see that IE from Windows Phone and Chrome for Android available in the picture. While Apple’s iPod touch is counted as a separate entity the graph, and its 4.3% market share isn’t negligible.
